Note: All image processing software I know (e.g. Parts in red are my emphasis:Įxifer is a nearly free software (you only should send me a postcard if you're using Exifer frequently) with which you can manage the metadata (EXIF/IPTC) of pictures taken by digital cameras.īecause many image processing software destroys this metadata when saving such files, the idea was to create a backup of the metadata before editing it in any software, and then, after that to restore it back into the processed file. Here is a description of the product (which is free, by the way). Doing this easily and automatically is something else altogether. It can also re-import that sme data and write to the EXIF spec on each image.
Exifer can export as csv or plain text, so you should be able to manipulate it the way you want. I suppose you could do this if you knew the EXIF spec and were willing to work out a routine to extract information from your EXIF data with Exifer and then re-write it the way you would want it to look. Exifer should be able to do what you want, though it doesn't specifically re-map Nikon data.
